Bought with a price...

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [a]and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV

The word says When you Fast, When you Pray, When you give, so we know there is no choice, that we must do it. Now how you do it between you and God. Fasting is dealing with NOT EATING or limited what you are eating depending on the fast you are partaking in. We have been bought with a price – CHRIST BLOOD is the price. Therefore because we have been bought with a price we cannot just do anything with our temple/our body. We must glorify God in our bodies and spirit.

When you think about someone who rents a house, apartment or building that belongs to someone else. Guess what you will do inside that building? You will live according to their rules and regulations and you will try your best not to violate anything that is in the agreement. Well when you said that you belong to Christ and you are following Him and He has died for you. He paid the price for you. Your body is no longer yours, but it belongs to the Father. Do not violate your temple. The Bible gives you your instructions and standards for living; we must walk out this word day to day.

Christ’s death freed us from our sins, but also obligates us to His service. Who you serving today with your body?
