Love and Respect

Good morning I am Integrity Life Speaker!

I heard an interesting session this morning on the news of one gentlemen who said if He were #44, he would not have shaken the hands of #45 during the funeral of #41. They were going back and forth on the subject. WWJD (What Would Jesus Do)? As I thought about this, it wasn’t about him liking or not liking him, or even all the terrible things that has been said. It was about “respect” above all things. We can agree to disagree, but it was respect.

Think about the night Jesus was betrayed, He already knew who was going to betray Him and with a “KISS”. Could you imagine if Jesus would have not embraced the kiss and moved away not to be touched by Judas? But even in knowing what he came to do, Jesus response was “Friend, do what you came for…” Matthew 26:50 AMP

Although two different situations we can look at how Jesus handled betrayal and deception and yet He still LOVED and called him FRIEND. It takes a mature, respectful, humble, stable adult to let your response be LOVE. Yes they talked about you. Yes they lied on you. Yes, we know it's not easy, but let your reaction be in love.

I encourage you today to think about that person who you know that you know that you know, doesn’t really care for you and pray for them. Show them love anyway. I didn’t say by any means be used, abused or kiss anyone’s tail, but show LOVE. You are worth the Father’s love, so they are worth loving too. They don’t have to be in your circle or your season to love them. So be the mature adult and show respect to those in authority, your neighbor, your enemies and those alike. WWJD?
