You can overcome temptation too...

“Jesus was LED by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be TEMPTED by the devil.” Do you think you will not be tempted? The temptation does not come from God but what God does is allows the enemy to do the tempting and you are only tempted by what entices you. “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.” James 1:14 NKJV

Look at it this way believer. Christ was faced with the same temptations we have today: the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Turn stones into bread, we know Jesus was hungry after 40 days and nights of not eating.

If you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down….. pride of life. The enemy even spoke what the word said, “He shall give His angels charge over you, in their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Reference to Psalms 91:11-12

All these you can have (all the kingdoms of the world and their glory) if you just bow down and worship me. (pride of the flesh)

Jesus response was the WORD OF GOD. Jesus didn’t respond with his flesh, eyes, or pride. If we are going to overcome as Christ did, our response has to change to temptation. REPENT – Turn, change your ways, make the CHOICE/DECISION to follow Christ examples. Temptation will come. It’s your response to it that determines who you serve.
