Live the Word

9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9 NKJV

How many sermons have we heard and never applied anything from them because we hear and forget? How many scriptures have we read, just to be reading and never apply them to our lives? How many scriptures have we memorized? How much to we read and hear the Word of God, but don’t adhere to His teachings? We have all fallen short in some area above. It’s not enough to read the word, hear the word, talk about the word, but not LIVE the WORD.

What we learn and receive from God; we must practice. Your obedience to His word and living as a representation of Him in the earth is vital. God’s word should lead you to obedience. Christ example should cause us to want to live better. We cannot expect to just be exposed to the Word and not change or live out the Word of God.

Today I encourage you to live what you read. Christians should have Christlike characteristics. Believers should re-present who they believe. If you are not looking like the Word, then what are you representing? Live the Word; don’t just know it and not apply it.
