The One who Comforts us makes us uncomfortable...


Good morning I am peace life speaker!

While I was communicating with the God on the way to work this morning…. I remember hearing “The One who Comforts us makes us Uncomfortable” I was like okay, what are you saying?

God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, right? How can He be our COMFORTER and make us UNCOMFORTABLE at the same time? Have you ever noticed what happens outside of our comfort zones? When we get too comfortable, we become lethargic, laxie daisy, lazy, idle, sluggish, and slothful and much of nothing gets accomplished. We begin to just expect things to be the same way all the time with no change. We start to think things should be handed to us or fall in our laps without faith or working. We start to act like God owes us something when we OWE HIM OUR LIVES.

Feeling unCOMFORTable is not a good feeling, but guess what in your disCOMFORT He is your COMFORTER. God is stretching you in this season to step outside of you. Let’s just be transparent for a moment, what is God requiring of us that seems uneasy and makes us uncomfortable. Don’t get so super-spiritual and think that it’s not God because it looks like this or that and you think it’s of the devil. Everything is not going to be comfortable.

Think about your comfort food. What does it do to you when you eat it? It comforts you. The Father is the food to our soul and spirit. When we are uncomfortable we can eat from His table. He will comfort us.

Speak Life is an amazing book. This book has changed my life in so mnay ways.  The prompts are so powerful and will have you looking at your space and the company you keep through different lenses. I feel like a ten lb weight has been lifted off of me after reading this, following the prompts, and being more sensitive to the spirit.  Latoya is amazing, she was there throughout the entire process with encouragement and a beautiful message from God.
