Truth & Righteousness (Full Armor)

Good morning I am Girded with Truth Life Speaker!

“Stand therefore, having girded your WAIST with TRUTH, having put on the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Ephesians 6:14

What is truth? God’s word is truth. What the enemy does is take God’s words and twist them to make them sound like they are true, but really it’s a lie. We as believers must know that he is deceptive in all of his ways. God’s truth will defeat the enemies lies every time. Just because it may look like a lie is winning, do not believe what you see, truth will prevail.

Why is righteousness the breastplate? Where does attacks take place? In our hearts. Yes in our mind too which coincides with our heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things” (Matthew 12:34-35). Righteousness is the quality of being morally right or justifiable; in right standing. There is none righteousness but One, but because He dwells and abides in us, we are righteous through His blood.

This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction… Romans 3:22

Our heart is where our emotions, self-worth, and trust. His breastplate PROTECTS our hearts. His breastplate is HIS LOVE for us and HE died for that love.
