Before & After I Do...
Good morning I am Unselfish Life Speaker!
Before and After I do….
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Eccles 4:9-12.
Before I do are you friends first? The value of friendship can go a long way as you proceed to relationship and marriage. Two are better than one. If one of you were to fall, you have the other to lift you up. When you need a shoulder you have the other right there to lean on. If one of you were are going through, you are connected to a friend who has your best interest in mind.
Before and after I do there must be a bond that is strong and cannot be easily broken. Is your spouse your best friend? This is not to say that you do not need a relationship with others of the same sex whom you can relate to in a different manner, but there should be a level of respect, love, intimacy, friendship that you have with your spouse or soon to be spouse that is like no other. We were built for companionship not isolation.
So before you say I do are you even friends? If you have already said I do, but seem like this part of your marriage is missing, there is still an opportunity. I am decreeing and declaring that God will redeem the time for you and you start today working on having a friendship. It will ignite your love and marriage.
Speak life and watch God
