Husbands and Wives - Part I

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Ephesians 5:22-24

Wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord should not be taken out of context as if a husband should rule the wife with complete control. Think about your submission to the Lord. We submit to Him out of Love and reverence for who He is. My God! Yes, the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. Who is the church? We are. So how is Christ love for the church? He is Savior of the body. He is Rescuer, Redeemer, Liberator, Deliverer and Protector of the body.

Husband is head of the wife AS ALSO Christ is… so He should have Christlike Character!!!!

Therefore, just as the church (us) is subject to Christ, so LET the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Wives we must be to their husband respecting both their position as protector and their responsibility to God as head of the house. This is not saying that you are a doormat to be walked over because this chapter is not over, but this is instructions on how to submit in obedience to God.

God didn’t design you without purpose WIFE! So don’t lose your purpose because you are married. The devil is a liar! God is still Father and expects us to walk out our purpose in the kingdom without excuses as to who we are joined to. God didn’t design you to control the wife HUSBAND but to be the head, love, and carry Christlike character as you relate her. Continue tomorrow 
