Truth In Love!

“…that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting but speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – Ephesians 4:14-15 NKJV

As we continue in Ephesians today we must understand there is growing process that must take place so that we become the mature men and women of God, He intended for us to be. We cannot not resort back to childish ways or behaviors when we are angry or upset or cannot have our way. We cannot continue to accept and be entertained by the lies and tricks of the enemy as if we were little children that have no understanding. Yes, we already know the enemy is crafty and deceitful, so it’s time for our discernment to intensify, that we can see and smell him coming before he gets there.

Truth must be spoken, but it must be spoken in love. It’s not always that you are saying something wrong, but IT IS HOW YOU SAY IT. When we speak truth in love, it may cut and convict, but never condemn. Truth in love, will cause a healing process to begin and growth to happen.

It’s time to stand up, grow up, shut up and show up! God is waiting on you to be who He has called you to be and it’s going to take maturity to do it.
