Grace of God!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10

For by GRACE you have been saved through faith – God’s unmerited favor, remarkable compassion towards us…

And that not of yourselves – it’s not of our own effort or anything we have personally done to deserve it, but it’s underserved and gracious GIFT of God. So what do you do with a GIFT? Do you open it and then pay for it? Do you receive it and not say thank you? We ought to be grateful, praising and rejoicing for the gift of salvation.

Not of works, lest anyone should boast – nothing you do can help you obtain salvation and we cannot take any credit in any way for salvation.

For we are His workmanship – master work, work of art, we are CREATED by God, for God.

Which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them… - we should not just receive salvation and not share the Good News with anyone. We are not just living for our own benefits, but we have been bought with the blood of Jesus and therefore before time God prepared the way in which we should walk. We are demonstrations in this world right? What/Who are you demonstrating today?
