True Worship!
Good morning I am a WORSHIPPER Life Speaker!
True Worship….
True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of holiness. Thus, if your lifestyle does not express the beauty of holiness through an excessive love for God, and you do not live in submission to God, then it’s time to make worship a priority in your life.
True worship comes from what’s within the heart. God will respond to your worship by making your heart more like His. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.
We had a good conversation at bible study last night in regards to what worship is and how it can be kingdom or become churchy? In many churches around the world the concept of "worship" has been redefined and narrowed to mean the time when believers come together to sing songs, raise their hands, dance around, and get all excited about the Lord together in church.
Therefore as you have new believers come in to the church, they are looking at worship as an outward expression only. I come Sunday and worship and maybe one day during the week and now I am a true worshipper. NO! We get so caught up in the music and the theatrics at times that we miss the concept of what true worship is. Is the position of your body a form of true worship? You can position your body all day long standing, sitting, prostrate or kneeling but if your heart is not yielded, submitted, and you are not living the righteous life, you are just exercising your arms, legs and body.
Worship without obedience is no worship at all. Then your worship in the time of "worship" will be true worship. Why? Because it will be worship born of obedience. It will be worship that didn’t just start when you walked in the 4 walls of the building; it would started when you woke up. “Obedience is better than sacrifice”
9 Whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the doorway of the tent; and the LORD would speak with Moses. 10 When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tent door, all the people would rise and worship, each at his tent door. Exodus 33:9-11. It didn’t say how they worshipped, all we know is they rose and worshipped. Moses was having a conversation with God. Moses had a relationship with God. The people rose and worshipped out of reverence and His presence.
In order to truly worship there must be a lifestyle that lines up with obedience and love.
Command your worship to go to another level in obedience.
