Listen up….

[Shun Evil Counsel] My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not reject the teaching of your mother. For they are a garland of grace on your head, And chains and ornaments [of gold] around your neck. Proverbs 1:8-9 AMP

We must demonstrate our Christian walk every day not only outside of our homes but inside. Our actions speak louder than our words. We can talk all day about what a child should or should not do, but if we are doing something different from what we are saying, they are watching our actions. Children learn their values, morals and priorities by observing us.

Do we pray? Do we reverence God? Do you respect God? Do we value a personal relationship with God? Are we living with a form of godliness but denying the power? How is your attitude towards people? How is your love walk? How is your worship? How is your alone time with God? Every aspect of your life will in some way effect or affect your children’s life.

If your mother or father was not there to teach you values, morals, ethics, about life now is your opportunity to get WISE counsel from God. God will show you the way. Trust Him and trust the process. You be the parent that you didn’t see. You be the mother or father to children that you may not have birthed but you have the opportunity to be a part of their lives. They are watching our lives. Your walk is demonstrating what you value.
