Loose Lips!

Good morning I AM Self-Control Life Speaker!

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips [to keep me from speaking thoughtlessly]. Psalm 141:3

Do you realize how much your mouth is open per day, per hour on average? Sometimes it’s open a lot more depending on time, place and situation. The tongue has a lot of power. If we can use our mouths to speak things into existence; to speak life, to declare and decree; why can’t we do just the opposite with our lips too?

Your words have power. Out of your mouth can flow life or death. You have a choice what you are going to choose to speak today. Sometimes we need to step back and ask God to SET a GUARD OVER our mouths. Idle words and be death words. Idle words can be lethal. Thinking before you open your mouth is wise.

If you have loose lips, today it’s time to put them in check. Ask God to put a guard over your mouth so that you speak words of life, so that you are not speaking thoughtlessly, unkind, inconsiderate, careless, reckless or foolish. We are KINGDOM and KINGDOM people are thoughtful, unselfish, polite, courageous, caring, passionate, wise, tactful, and responsible with their words.
