Allow God to change our desires….

You are jealous and covet [what others have] and [a]your lust goes unfulfilled; so you [b]murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God]. 3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [c]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires. James 4:2-3 AMP

How is your prayer life? Are you praying only to get, get, and get from God like He is your sugar daddy or sugar mama? Are you praying to have what you have been coveting of your neighbors or friends? Have you been praying only about yourself? Have you been praying about stuff that you have already contemplated what you are going to do, but you just praying out of formality, religion and tradition but inside you already have a made up mind? Have you been praying at all?

Men and women of Destiny I exhort you to pray intentionally. Your prayers become powerful when you allow God to change your desires so they line up and correspond with his will.

21 Beloved, if our heart does not convict us [of guilt], we have confidence [complete assurance and boldness] before God; 22 and we receive from Him whatever we ask because we [carefully and consistently] keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight [habitually seeking to follow His plan for us]. 1 John 3:21-22 AMP
