Compromise is Quicksand

We have to be careful in our walk with Christ that we do not conform to the world’s way of thinking and living. We want them to be drawn into Christ, not us to be drawn in to their influence. When we compromise who we are as believers we begin to look like non-Christians and no one will be able to tell the difference between believers and non-believers.

We must watch our influence. If what we are doing will cause someone else to backslide or continue in sin, we need to check what we are doing. 13 Therefore, if [my eating a certain] food causes my brother to stumble (sin), I will not eat [such] meat ever again, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.” 1 Corinthians 8:13

We cannot negotiate sin. Sin is sin. We all fall short because no man is perfect, but we cannot compromise our faith in order to justify and allow sin to be influenced as okay. Our influence is contaminated when we allow sin to have its way. We must influence others to Christ and no allow them to influence us to sin!

I read a few minute ago that, “If you step into quicksand, it won’t suck you down. However, your movements will cause you to dig yourself deeper into it.” Put your spiritual eyes on for one minute. Compromise is like quicksand. You get yourself into it, but there is a way of escape and that’s through the TRUTH, but if we continue moving in SIN we get deeper in the quicksand by our own wrong moves.

Let’s draw the world to Christ.
