Eyes open but seeing nothing…

What? How can your eyes be open but see nothing? We understand that we have those that have been blind since birth and those that may have become blind during their lifetime because of illness, but when we look at Saul on the Road of Damascus he went on the road seeing. Then he had an encounter with Christ, which afterwards his eyes were open but without sight. Could you imagine?

Your eyes are open but for some reason now you can’t see. Saul/Paul had to trust and obey God even while his sight was not there. “We walk by faith, not by sight.” Paul had to trust the God that he was persecuting other Christians about. What if Paul would have chosen not to go to where God was leading him and disobeyed specific instructions to follow?

What if Ananias would have let his feelings and judgment get in the way of going to the street called Straight to meet Paul and heal his eye sight?

There are times in our lives where it is necessary that we get rid of all distractions and truly listen for the voice of God. When we are not in tune with God, we are causing our spiritual eyesight to have scales on them. Are you truly ready to obey God? Are you truly ready to see what God sees, and love what God loves?
