Instead of being on defense, just share your faith….

We are not exempt from slander, accusations or lies. Stephen was a powerful speaker, wise, with great faith, miracle worker, and it was obvious the Spirit of God dwelled in him. Why would anyone want to lie and make false accusations about such a great individual? Well, look around, it is still happening today. Just because you are doing and saying great things for the kingdom, on behalf of our Father, does not make you exempt from people’s accusations and slander.

When the jealously spirit creeps in it’s a silent killer. Lucifer/Satan was jealous of God and looked what happened to him. Not only a jealous spirit but sin does not want to be exposed, so it may cause things to be said or happen that are unjust, not right, partial and prejudiced, but guess what? We must serve anyways. We must continue our walk of faith no matter the consequences.

Stephen was stoned to death. Could he have tried to defend what was being said about him? They accused him of blasphemy and it was not true, but being accused of it meant death. This way they could get rid of him for good. Look what jealously and bondage can cause you to do.

As Stephen went out, similar to Christ, he said “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” Instead of being on the defense and worried about himself he was more concerned about his accusers and their lives. He shared his faith even till death.
