Reward in the midst of persecution…

…”but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it – lest you even be found to fight against God.” Acts 5:39

Gamaliel gave advice to the men of Israel not to kill the apostles and why. He reminded them of how Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody and 400 men joined him. He was slain and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. Judas of Galilee rose up and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. *Warning* be careful who you rise up against.

Gamaliel is Hebrew meaning “RECOMPENSE OF God, REWARD of God” While the apostles were willing to teach Christ no matter what they came up against, GOD sent them a REWARD in the midst of their persecution. Don’t miss that. They were being beaten for teaching/preaching Jesus as the Christ and the people were ready to put them to death, but GOD. God sent a ram in the bush who spoke up on their behalf and allowed them to not be killed, but to have more time to spread the Gospel.

Be careful who you rising up against, because if they are coming on behalf of God, my God! My God! My God!

And if you are facing ridicule, being ostracized, or slandered, you just hold on your REWARD is coming! Hallelujah!
