Don't be afraid to pray.

I can talk about it, because I know. You can be in circles, groups, dinner tables etc.. and when it's time to pray everyone's head goes down, eyes closed and there is silence. Anybody want to pray? What causes us to clinch up when it comes to prayer? Are we concerned what others will think? Are we afraid we might say something that sounds crazy? Are we afraid we will not sound like Sis MD or Bro Deacon? Have we not been praying in our secret times, alone times to God?

I will tell you, I have been there way too many times, but you have to start somewhere.

ACTS prayer is a good place.

A - Adoration - adore God, Express your love to God, Show respect to God, Worship Him, Glorify Him, Exalt Him..

C - Confession - begin to confess, admit, acknowledge your sins, faults, failures, unknown sin to Him

T - Thanksgiving - Give God thanks, express your gratitude and appreciation; giving thanks in all things

S - Supplication - Make your appeal (request), plea to God who is able to grant whatever it is

When it comes to prayer during a meal?

Stick to what you are praying for the meal. Thank God for the food, the hands that prepared the food. Thank God that the food is pure and will not cause your body any harm. Ask God to feed those that are hungry..... It does not have to be a lengthy prayer and you don't have to be nervous, although it seems hard to shake for any of us.

Prayer is simply communication with God! The more you communicate, you may still be nervous but you will in time allow the spirit to lead you and guide you and tell you what to say. No man knows what he ought to pray (thats bible). (Romans 8:26)

This has been a brief moment about prayer. Stay tuned!

"Sometimes you're pushed in unfamiliar, and uncomfortable situations, but God will begin to tug at your heart. So you feel the pull. You find yourself in prayer, releasing it back to God. Reading this just reminds me of how effective prayer is, and how powerful God is. His love never fails.

This book is so transparent and raw. It's difficult to share such personal, and private things. But with God....anything is possible. This read is filled with so much spiritual food, and testimonial experience of miracles. I highly recommend this book, and have your tissue ready."

Speak Life, Life Speaker (2)

This book was even better the 2nd time around with the book group. It was enlightening and has helped me to declutter in areas that I didn't even realize was cluttered.  I've gained more strength to push even harder to "look upward" more often for help to "grow up" with the Word of God. I am not alone on this journey. I have the determination to persevere. - Lakesha McKie
