Revenge is a boomerang!

Revenge – Retaliation, vengeance, payback, settling scores…

Boomerang – rebound, RETURN, ricochet

The revenge cycle is halted by true forgiveness. When we have that “revengeful spirit” it can overtake and control our actions, deeds, encounters, minds. As we continue in the book of Judges with Samson. Judges 15:11b says, “as they did to me, so I have done to them.” As we know Samson had strength out of this world, but he was choosing to use it for selfish purposes.

There are some things we do in life that we cannot just take back or reverse. When you take a life for example, the life is gone. You cannot reverse the actions. How about we leave vengeance to God and choose to forgive? True forgiveness removes a heavy weight and releases God’s love like never before through you. Choose forgiveness instead of revenge.

Revenge has it way of boomeranging and backfiring. Revenge could just keep going and going and going; you get me, I get you, you get me and so on. So it has to stop! Revenge does cost, don’t be fooled by trickery of the enemy. Today I encourage you to let go and forgive. Release that thing right there that you are ready to RETALIATE and get REVENGE on, RELEASE IT today, so that you can be FREE! FORGIVE!

Speak Life is an amazing book. This book has changed my life in so mnay ways.  The prompts are so powerful and will have you looking at your space and the company you keep through different lenses. I feel like a ten lb weight has been lifted off of me after reading this, following the prompts, and being more sensitive to the spirit.  Latoya is amazing, she was there throughout the entire process with encouragement and a beautiful message from God.
